Chae Strathie ‘Shiver Me Timbers, it’s Captain Firebeard!’

1.30pm, Thur 21 Sept

The Howgate Shopping Centre, High Street, FK1 1HG

Chae Strathie is an award-winning children’s author who grew up in a tiny village surrounded by a forest in central Scotland, which probably explains a lot. A regular at major book festivals, Chae has toured the length and breadth of the UK and visited schools as far afield as Romania, reading his stories, acting the goat and singing silly songs.

For this event he will be reading from his new book The Slippery Sweet Stealer – the second in his Captain Firebeard’s School For Pirates series – as well as teaching the children how to grow beards, introducing them to a very cheek parrot and showing them how a story gets from his head in to a book. Be prepared for lots of pirate silliness!

Suitable for ages 5-9 years.
